And the demos too I've somehow managed to find time to develop some demos and experiments. I use IIS server and active server pages scripting to integrate database to html and sometimes to flash movies too. The two mentioned along with graphic design are close to my heart. The following demos are just that, demos. They work ok, but I remind you, they are not complete products. All demos can be modified to meet numerous requirements, but the purpose here is to show off the possibilities and talent of the author. Games made with Flash! In the times I don't feel like expressing myself trough photoshop images/designs or asp applications, I do games. I usually have two ideas for a game at the same time, and only the other is developed to a final state. The other one is not forgotten, but saved for later occasion. All games require Macromedia's Flash player installed. All games are made by Juha-Pekka Huikuri. These games are made for fun from heart, no (direct) financial benefit was obtained. The Column The idea for this layout/navigation came when I decided to break out of the popular web design guidelines. And the result is a refreshing change in it's simplicity. When some developers attemp to push the limits of (web) design further, they sometime forgot to stop and look back (or arounding environment). There's nothing wrong with going on, but doing it too fast isn't always a good thing. Take this site for example, if you can see through the visual appearance and look at the concept, you can clearly see that you have pieces of paper in a pile and then you just pull out a paper to see what's written on it. You realize that papers don't have anything to do future new media digital design trends, still the idea works. So be brave enough to break the given rules, standards and guidelines and start creating stuff that are expressions of your own thoughts, and stop copying others' designs. - Jipe Huikuri PS. Of course while learning it's good to copy. That's how you learn best, but keep in your mind somewhere that only creating your own style you can succeed.
